Ricoh Caplio R6 Review

Ricoh produced another powerful, yet compact digital camera with Caplio R6. The Caplio boasts a fast 7x optical lens and a 28mm wide-angle zoom lens with a 7.24 megapixel ccd resolution, ensuring you of vivid images and high-quality photos. Its wider 2.7-inch high-resolution LCD provides high viewing angle for easy viewing and sharing. Even its internal memory screams of high performance with its 54 MB storage capacity. The Caplio R6’s outer features also give a sense of its amazing feats with its highlights of metal bands at the center and wrapping around the lens on its body. With its dimensions of 99.6 x 55 x 23.3 mm and weight of 135g (4.7oz), the Caplio R6 is a sleek, high performance, compact camera that you can carry around in your pocket.

The Caplio R6 is equipped with amazing functions geared to make its usage simple and unsophisticated. Aside from the Auto mode used in capturing still images, this camera is fitted with various shooting modes to let you shoot in any possible condition without manually adjusting the settings. Some shooting modes are portrait, landscape, sports, high sensitivity, zoom macro, skew correction, text and movie. Or if you have a favorite personalized setting, you can easily access this by using the My Settings button and save time in setting it again. The Caplio R6 is also capable of saving images in two sizes, one in a normal size image and the other in reduced size image. This feature is most convenient for uploading images in blogs or attaching to e-mails where the size requirement is usually small. Another amazing feature is the ability of Caplio R6 to select multiple images for deletion. And should you wish to retrieve it, its file Recovery feature will let you do just that.

Aside from its original functions, the Caplio R6 is equipped with the latest in digital camera technology to help you capture the best images at all times. It features a Face Detection technology that detects faces in a frame and automatically adjusts the image to provide a clear, sharp image. This technology works with either a portrait or a group shot. The Caplio R6’s Shift Vibration Correction system eliminates blurred pictures at macro and telephoto. The new Auto High sensitivity mode lets you capture clear images in low light conditions. In higher sensitivity, such as ISO 1600, the shift vibration correction system works hand-in-hand with the Auto High Sensitivity mode to prevent blurring, which is often expected in high sensitivity shots. The Caplio R6 even lets you check if your image is in focus by simply pressing a button to enlarge the image 16 times.
