Sony Cybershot DSC-H9 Review


The Sony Cybershot DSC-H9 is an amazing camera. It has a wide array of features which will make any digital photography lover happy.

This camera has a powerful 15X Optical Zoom lens. It can take faraway shots without any worries of getting photos of bad or low resolution. Now a 2X digital zoom supplements the Optical Zoom by stretching out the pixels to create a bigger looking picture.

This camera has a LCD screen of 3" which is wide enough to take low angled shots. But if you wish to save on batteries, you may use the viewfinder.

The Optical Image Stabilizer (ISO) deals with the hand vibration. This makes pictures get high clarity, detail and sharpness.

A Face Detection technology is another utility in the Sony Cybershot DSC-H9. This camera has the ability to recognize faces in the pictures and then automatically initiates focus, colour, exposure and flash. This now brings out the best look in everyone in the photo. This also gives an aura of natural looking skin without much worry of getting facial glares.

These scene modes include the "beach" mode, the "landscape" mode, the "snow" mode and more.

This camera not only takes still pictures, you may make videos out of it as well. You can take 640x480 VGA type of video complete with sound, which may be taken in 30 frames/ sec.

When it comes to memory storage, this camera is already equipped with a 31MB of space. But if you want to store more, all you need to do is to add a 1GB or even a larger Memory Stick DUO PRO type of memory card.

Pros: This camera combines a well rounded proportion of functionality with ease of use. The Sony Cybershot DSC-H9 is a very user friendly. The remote control is a perfect feature which other cameras do not have. This Cyber-shot takes very sharp and wonderful pictures.

Cons: Users may find a bit of difficulty with using and accessing the USB cable from the camera to the computer. The plastic covering the slot seems to break off pretty easily.

Overall: The Sony Cybershot DSC-H9 would be a great buy for your money. This piece of technology takes astoundingly clear pictures. It is a tool which can be equated with creativity. A superb choice when buying a camera!
