Default Sony CyberShot H3

Sony CyberShot H3 Review

The H3 was created by Sony for the advanced and amateur photographers market. It is for those people who want to take high end quality pictures in every situation or condition. All considerations were taken into account to provide excellent zooming functionality and a strong flash capability considering the rather small size or compactness of a camera in its class. It packs a wallop of a punch in delivering all its intended features and then some more.

Sony was proud to unveil this little fellow to the market to complement the existing stable of excellent powerful zoom extended cameras in the Cybershot family. In conjunction of a 10 x optical zoom coupled with Sony's Super SteadyShot image stabilization, amateur photographers and enthusiasts will find crisp images of distant objects or subjects with no worries associated with blurring due to shaking hands.

The camera is equipped with an 8.1 megapixels lens that provides 20 x digital zoom as well. The H3 has an auto focus feature that deals with the blur issues usually common with photographers on the go.

An auto and manual exposure function is also evident in the controls of the camera so that the user may have full control of the pictures clarity as needed per situation or condition as it would present itself. To aid the user as well is the built in ISO 100 - 3200 flash for that added lighting effect needed for that perfect shot.

This particular CyberShot comes with a 2.5 in. LCD display for viewing of the photos taken as well as watch and videos made. Photos and videos are stored in the 31MB internal memory provided in the camera, with the option to upgrade the memory through an optional Memory stick DUO storage card. All the camera's functions are powered by the Lithium-ion battery provided in the package.

The H3 CyberShot digital camera is basically an upgrade of the usual professional camera used by photographers to cover events and ground breaking scenes. As such, Sony redeveloped the camera that the user will still have the feel of a manual camera but with the added features and functions of a full digital camera. In this way, the photographer can concentrate on taking that picture or image without having to compromise quality due to factors pertaining to the conditions present during the shoot.

The H3 comes bundled with the following: Video cable, USB cable, Hand Strap, Lithium-ion battery and Battery charger. It also has a one year warranty as provided by the authorized merchant.

PROS: The H3 is a versatile camera perfect for usage in most situations and less than ideal conditions. It can also take better night pictures due to it ample flash power. Overall handling of the camera is exceptional. This camera is the choice for both amateur and professional photographers.

CONS: So far the camera has lived up to it’s expectations since the day it was unveiled, no complaints were heard of since the camera was first sold in the market, thus making it live up to the reputation Sony is famous for in it's long line of CyberShot digital cameras.

OVERALL: The H3 is highly recommended and has received numerous awards and was given a five star rating. There were a lot of rave reviews given to this camera indicating just how well it performs to the task at hand. So if you want to start a career as a professional or amateur photographer, it is highly suggested you pick one of these babies up and give it a spin you won't regret. Guaranteed your money's worth. That’s a promise.
